Valentine Treat Bags
These were my Valentine Treat Bags for my stamp group the other night, very simple and quick to make. I had gotten the measurements from Sam Donaldson’s blog, she makes wonderful bags and boxes of all sizes and shapes. You will need a 6 x 6″ piece of paper, I used the new Sending love designer series paper, each sheet in that pack are already at 6 x 6″. You will then score one side at 1″, 2.75, 3.75 and 5.5″ and then turn the paper and score at 1′ and 4.5′ So your piece of paper will look like this when all the scoring is finished. You will want to take your bone folder and burnish those score lines so that you box will fold together easily. Next you are going to cut on the score lines and you are going to remove some of the score lines. Your piece of paper should look like this wants all the cuts are made. Once that is complete than you will put tape on the short narrow piece and fold the other side over to connect the 2 sides. and then close in the bottom to form the box bottom. You then simply fold over the flap that is your box closure. I then took a piece of the new Real red or Whisper White ribbon from the Sending love combo and tied it around the flap to hold it closed. Dont forget to put your candy inside, lip glosses, cash etc. I then took the new Classic Label punch and punched a piece out of Real Red and Whisper White cardstock and stamped the sentiment from the Bella & Friends stamps set in Real Red Ink and attached them together on an angle and die cut the Valentine from the Love Note Framelits and used a glue dot to attach on the side and then added it to the gift bag. These would work great for a childrens valentine party, or as birthday treat, just change up the paper.
I hope you will give these a try and leave me a comment as to what you think.
Thanks for looking in.
