Retirement Card

My card today is for my dear friend that was able to retire at an early age and hopefully get to enjoy the fun things in life now. The new Beautiful You stamp set worked perfect for this retirement card. My card base is Blushing Bride cardstock 8.5 x 5.5″ with a layer of Sahara Sand 5.25 x 4″ and then a layer of the new Falling in Love Designer Series Paper. If you havent looked at this paper yet you really need too, every sheet has a beautiful design to it. I took the largest oval in Very Vanilla and stamped my image with Sahara sand ink and used the Blushing Bride ink to color the skirt. I then added it to a large stitched oval in the Sahara Sand. I then took a dollie and cut it in half and attached it to the back of the oval. The dollies are also something to check into, I will be using them more and more as we go along. They are so intricately cut and you have very vanilla on one side and Whisper white on the other. I then added a bow using the new Metallic ribbon from the Sale-a-bration catalog, and finished off the front with a gold heart from the metallic shapes.
For the inside of the card I punched the top ends with the trio punch and added the sentiment in Blushing Bride and the ink splotch in Sahara sand. I really liked the way this card turned out and hopefully you will give it a try.

If you didnt receive a catalog drop me an email and will get one out to you.
Have a great day
Sheryl
