Baby Card with some bling
HI stampers!
Hope you had a great weekend. My card today was for a friends baby shower, and mom is into the bling, so I thought I would glam it up for her. This is a Z fold card very easy to do, you will need a piece of cardstock 8.5 x 5.5″ and score on the long side at 1.25 and 4.25, then use your bone folder to make good strong folds so that the card will lay nice for you. For this card I used Melon Mambo as my card base, you will then need 2 pieces of Whisper White 3 x 5.5″ and I used the Pop of Pink DSP Paper, you will need 2 pieces 2.75 x 5.25″ adhered them together, you
will also need a piece of Whisper White 1.25 x 5.5, and a DSP piece of 1 x 5.25″ in this case I used a piece of the gold dots for on the front of the card, and then the stripe on the first panel. The other piece of stripe paper I attached to my 5.25 x 4″ whisper white cardstock that makes the inside of the card, I attached it so it looks like a layered piece when the card is closed.
This laid out view should help you understand the placing of the layers, I used the Baby’s First Framelits, to die cut the booties, safety pin and toy, the safety pin is stamped in gold, to add to the bling affect. The sentiment is stamped on a piece of Whisper white 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ and attached to melon mambo 1″ x 2″, and then I just attached it on the side of the short part of the Z fold. The toy is attached with a couple stampin dimensions and attached to the lower end of the sentiment. I used my glue pen to add a few gold sequins here and there to bring out the bling. So hopefully this didnt scare you off, once you get all your pieces cut, you will be able to see how the card comes together. If you have any questions let me know.
Leave me a comment on what you think!
Have a great day!
