Happy Birthday

HI Everyone!
I hope you had a great long weekend. My card today is for a friend of mine that I have been friends with since Kindergarden! She loves lady bugs, and when I saw this stamp set I knew it was for her. In fact I bought her this set and I am in the process of making her some cards which I will show later. Now back to todays card. My card base is 8.5 x 5.5″ of Basic Black cardstock and the DSP layer is from the Go Wild DSP Pack that is retired, 5.25 x 4″ then a layer of Whisper white 5 x 3.75″. I stamped the Lady bug with Black Stazon ink so that I could use my aqua painter and paint the little bugs with Real Red ink. The balloons are punched out with the Balloon punch in Real Red and Basic Black. I took the stars from the Balloon Celebration stamp set and stamped them in Real Red ink, and the Happy birthday is from Cottage Greetings. The confetti on the black balloon is done with gold embossing powder and the stamp is from the Balloon Celebration set. I then added a piece of Gold sequin trim to the black balloon. Quick, simple and cute if you needed a card in a hurry. I will have another birthday card later in the week to share for my friend. We always seem to send each other multiples.
