Playful Palette Birthday Card
HI Stampers,
I hope you had a great weekend and were able to get some stampin in. Mine was very busy with grandkids and nieces and nephews over to swim. My card today was for one of my nieces that recently turned 22. I used the Playful Palette Designer Series paper stack, this pack has neat designs in it, you get 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs in 6 x 6″ size sheets. My card base is using the new Sweet Sugarplum 8.5″ x 5.5″ , I then took a piece of Basic Black 5.25″ x 2.25″ and layered a piece of the Playful Palette Designer Series paper stack paper 5 x 2″
on top. I used 2 of heart framelits for the Sweet and Sassy Framelits to cut the larger on in Basic black and the smaller in Very Vanilla, the sentiment is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set and stamped with the Sweet Sugarplum ink pad. I then took and 8″ piece of the Sweet Sugarplum ribbon and placed a piece of tear and tape along the bottom of the card and brought my ribbon in one tiny section at a time to form the ruffle across the bottom. I finished the card off with some hearts from the 2016-18 In Color enamel shapes, this is the first I used these, and I can tell they will become a regular. I also took a piece of Playful Palette paper and attached it to the flap of my envelope.
For the inside of my card I layered a piece of Basic Black 5.5 x 4″ and then a layer of Very Vanilla 5.25 x 3.75. then I had a small piece of the DSP left so I just layered it with the Basic Black card stock and attached it in the upper left hand corner and stamped my sentiment form the Suite Sayings in the Sweet Sugarplum ink, and the heart is from the Birthday Blooms and stamped in Sweet Sugarplum also.
I hope you will give this card a try, it can easily be adapted to any of the DSP paper in the stack, and you could use any sentiment.
So have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
