Wedding Card

Weddings and Showers seemed to be in abundance for us this summer. My daughter needed a wedding card and the brides colors are deep purple with vanilla, so this card base of Elegant Eggplant seems to be close to her color, I cut the base at 4 1/4 x 11″ and scored at 5 1/5″ , I wanted a stand up card for this project. The picture doesnt do the card justice, I took the vellum idea from Tami Whites you tube video. The flowers are from the Remarkable You stamp set and they are stamped on the vellum with versa mark and then gold embossing powder was added and heated. I than hand cut them out and colored with Elegant Eggplant markers and Old Olive on the leaves. I placed a piece of very vanilla 5 1/4 x 4 on the base, and then added a piece of gold striped vellum, I randomly placed the flowers and leaves together and adhered them with glue dots, I added a very vanilla satin ribbon bow, and stamped my sentiment from Flourishing Phases in versa mark and then embossed with gold embossing powder. I then popped it up with stampin dimensionals and added a small leaf for dimension.

On the inside I gold embossed the lilly and colored in with the Elegant eggplant and old olive markers and then gold embossed the sentiment. This made for a rich looking card, and I hope the bride likes it. Two more weddings yet for the this summer so stay tuned to see the next wedding card.

Thanks for looking in today
