Racing By
Racing by is my stamp set for today. My oldest grandson turned 11 this past week. He is big in to racing dirt bikes, 4 wheelers and go carts. So this stamp set had his name all over it.
My card base is pumpkin pie, 8.5 x 11, I stamped the checkered flag all around the outer edge of the cardbase before adding a layer of basic black 5 x 3.75 and then a layer of basic white 4.75 x 3.5. I stamped the outline of the car in basic black ink and then with pumpkin pie ink for the inside detail stamp. The wheels are in basic black in along with the ribbon and the trophy, The driver is in pumpkin pie ink. My grandson loves orange, his racing gear and dirt bike are all in the orange color. For the greeting I used a rectangle die and die cut a piece of basic white cardstock and stamped the greeting in pumpkin pie ink and then the checkered flag stamped in basic black ink and stamped off then stamped over the greeting. Before attaching to the card I added a1/4″ black strip on the top and the bottom of the white cardstock and then attached with stampin dimensionals.
On the inside of the card, I layered the black and white cardstock on to the pumpkin base just like the front and added some checkered flags.
Such a fun card and could be done in any color combination.
Have a great day and as always Thank you for stopping by.
