Happy 4th
Happy 4th of July and Happy Birthday to those who have birthdays on the 4th or close to.
My youngest sister has a July 3rd birthday, dad always called her a firecracker! She has a daughter born on the 4th. So lots of firecrackers in that house!
My card today is using a retired stamp set – Light The Sky – I apologize for the use of this stamp set, but I was so thrilled to see this stamp come out in the mini catalog from last fall, and then saddened to see not show up in the annual catalog.
So forgive me for using a retired stamp set but its what I needed for my July 4th birthdays. My card base is real red cardstock 8.5 x 5.5, with a layer of Night of Navy 5.25 x 4 and then basic white 5 x 3.75. Using Real Red, Night of Navy and Daffodil delight inks, I randomly filled the entire card with fireworks. The greeting is from the stamp set and stamped in basic black ink onto white cardstock and attached with stampin dimensionals.
The inside of the card, I stamped the fireworks across the top and then took the birthday greetings from Go to Greetings, and inked it in night of navy and real red ink and stamped on the cardstock. I loved how this turned out, and keeping with the red, white and blue theme, I stamped the fireworks on the flap of the envelope.
Finished off the front with some embellishments from the Tinsel gems packet.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend celebrating the 4th, enjoy your family/friends.
Send something creative!
