Sailing Away
Hello Stampers!
I hope you had beautiful weather this past weekend, wherever you were. The weather here was perfect, a little windy but warm. Now today is a different story. Lots and lots of rain!
I have been doing some masking this past week in my craft room. This is one of the cards that I came up with using the Sailing Away bundle. I started out with a piece copier paper (any paper that is real thin) and using the largest circle die, I die cut a circle out of it. Then, taking a piece of basic white card stock 4 x 5.25, and washi tape, I taped the piece of copier paper with the die cut circle cut out on top of it. Using my blender brush I carefully added the balmy blue ink, in circle motion, and carefully around the edges so as to not change my circle shape. You always want to start real light and add more as you go to get the shade you are looking for. Once I got to that point, I then removed the copier paper from the white card stock and there was my circle. Using black memento ink, I stamped the greeting, birds and the sail boat.
I die cut the sternwheel in basic black card stock and attached with a glue dot, and added a black matte embellishment in the center. After finishing the card, I think I will removed the black matte embellishment and replace with a gold embellishment. It will stand out more on the card. After it was all done I attached the white layer to my basic white card base that was 8.5 x 5.5. Viola!
A great card for, graduation, new job, a career change or adventure. You could easily change up the greeting to match what you needed to.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
