Driving By…..

Driving By is the name of this stamp set, it is a free stamp set in the sale-a-bration catalog with a $50 purchase. I think its just adorable and when I saw it this is what came to mind right away! If you are a child of the 50’s 60’s 70’s you remember the flower power era. The long flowered shirts and those big bell bottom jeans. There were also a few of these flowered vans driving around in my area when I was growing up.

My card is a square card. it starts out with a Real Red card base 9.5 x 4.25 and scored at 4.75. I used the Pattern Paper Designer Series Paper for the layers, the first is 4 x 4.5 and then using the square dies, I took the largest and die cut a piece of Basic Black, then the next one down was used to die cut the basic white. I stamped the van onto the deisigner series paper. Colored the wheels with my Black blends, and the trim in Real Red. I then fussy cut out the van and attached to the white with stampin dimensionals. The greeting is added with black memento ink. Attached the squares together and then to the DSP. Before attaching the DSP to the cardbase I added a piece of the red ribbon from the Playful pets combo. Finished off the note card with a embellishment from the Black embellishments.

The next 2 notecards are using the same Patterned paper Designer series paper along with the square dies.

These made for great notecards, that could be bundled up together and given as a gift. The cars and van are so cute.
