HAPPY NEW YEAR!

What a year it has been, I know everyone is ready to start out with a fresh new year and hope for a lot of normalcy. But remember, it will not happen overnight. So in the meantime lets send out some New Years cards. Whenever I miss someone on my Christmas list with a Christmas card I compensate by sending them a New years card. This is one of My New Years cards that has been sent. I am using the new Darling donkeys that is the sale-a-bration catalog as a free stamp set when you place an order of $50 or more. They are adorable little Donkeys. My card base is basic black 8.5 x 5.5 with a layer of basic white 5.25 x 4. I stamped the donkey in black memento ink and using my stampin blends I colored him. Light and dark smokey slate. I then die cut the numbers in basic black and gold foil paper, using the playful alphabet dies on page 178 of the annual catalog. ( a great item to have on hand) Using tombo glue I attached the set of black numbers in a random scramble, as I wanted the affect of the donkey kicking the 2020 year good by and then attached the 2021 numbers in more of a straight line.

The greeting is from a stamp that says Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year all on one, (sorry cant remember the set) I then used the label punch to punch out the Happy New Year. I punched another piece in Basic Black, and just cut off the ends and then attached the 2 together. I finished off the card with some little accents from the Donkey stamp set in black ink.

I hope this card brings a smile or maybe a laugh to its recipients.
