Happy Birthday

Happy Friday everyone!
I am closing out the week with a masculine card. We don’t seem to make these enough. This paper the Come Sail Away designer series is retiring. It is great paper for those male gender cards and it is still available if you want to replenish your stock. The Stamp set Sail Home is moving to the new catalog if you need to purchase it.
My card base is whisper white 8.5 x 5.5 with a layer of the DSP 3.75 x 5. I then used the large circle framelit and die cut a circle with Night of Navy, and then the 3rd largest scalloped circle and die cut another piece of the DSP paper, attached the two together. I added a strip of the DSP across the bottom 1 x 3.75. I then stamped the ship in Night of Navy ink and stamped on Whisper white card stock and die cut it out. The anchor is soft suede ink on whisper white card stock and die cut. I die cut the stern wheel in night of navy card stock. the light house is stamped in Black ink on to Sahara Sand card stock and die cut. I took the Night of Navy/Sahara Sand bakers twine and attached it to the anchor, before doing so I twisted it several times to make it look it thicker. I did use glue dots on the twine to keep it in place on the card. All the die cut items are attached with adhesive to the card. The Birthday greeting is from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set, and is stamped in Night of Navy ink and die cut with the stitched rectangle shape. I also added a bird in black ink from the set. I added one of the designer elements to the stern wheel to finish off the card.
A great masculine card for birthday, Fathers day, graduation or retirement.
Don’t miss out the paper if you need to restock.
Have a great weekend and I hope you have to get inky!
Sheryl
