Baby Card

I’m using the new Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper (DSP) that came available Feb. 4th. The inspiration for this card came from the gift bag that I used for the baby gift. It had all these colors and then it was filled with hippos, giraffes, toucans and palm trees. I have combined 2 stamps sets to accomplish the look to match my gift bag. One is Bonanza Buddies shown on page 33 of the new Mini catalog and then the other set is the Animal outing on page 102 in the Annual catalog. I started off with a piece of whisper white card stock for the card base 8.5 x 5.5 then added a piece of the DSP 2.25 x 5.25 I then used the circle die to cut a piece of Balmy Blue, a scalloped die for the Granny Apple green and the starburst punch for the whisper white. Put all those together with snail and stamped the sentiment in basic black. The hippo is stamped in Basic Gray ink on to whisper white card stock and colored with stampin blends, Gray Granite, light and dark, Balmy Blue for the bird, Petal Pink the tusk, and pumpkin pie for the birds beak. the giraffe is stamped in Soft Suede onto Whisper white, and colored with the Bronze and Daffodil Delight blends. The toucan is stamped in Basic Black and I added pumpkin pie, daffodil delight, shaded spruce to his beak. I then added all three to the card with stampin dimensionals. The little color bursts at the top are in pumpkin pie, Granny Apple green, Balmy blue ink, the stamp was in the Bonanza Buddie stamp set. Such a cute card, could be a Birthday card too! I stamped the front of the envelope to match the card as you see in the picture.
