Valentine Treats

Lets make some Valentine treat holders! So simple, you might recognize them. Some call them sour cream containers, they are very easy to make. Take a piece of 6 x 6 paper, weather you use card stock or DSP. I am using the From My Heart DSP paper in the new Mini Catalog. You will put tape on three sides of the paper, Bring the one side together to form a cone when taped. Once that is done then then close up the bottom end, now the top end you will keep open so you can fill your treats. Once filled then close up the top. Or you can do like I did here and only put tape on 2 sides of the 6×6 so that you can decorate the top and use some type of closure. I took one of the heart framelits and laid it across the top of the tube and just drew the top outline of the heart with a pencil and then used my scissors to cut the image, so that the top of the cone looks like a heart. I also used my crimper on the bottom of the treat holder and just crimped it about an inch. Just for a more finished look. I stamped my sentiment from the Heartfelt bundle in black ink onto Real REd cardstock and punched with the scalloped heart. I then used the small heart punch and punched out some random hearts and attached all to the tube. I die cut a heart from the heart dies in real red foil and attached it to a small clothespin to be my closure. I then used some various bakers twine and made a bow and attached with a glue dot. I filled the cone with a bag of M&M and some hershey kisses. These make great little Thank-you’s for the hairdresser, bank tellers, mailman, etc.. Sometimes people that you come in contact everyday could use just a little gesture of Thanks for their service.

Have fun making these, and they could be adapted for any holiday or event.

Have a great day!
