Thinking of You
Hello Monday!
Kinda of a dreary day here, did you get to do any card making over the weekend. I was able to squeeze some cards that I am putting together for next weeks card classes. This one is one of those cards that you do not like to make and I always want to have extra on hand for when that sympathy card is needed and I never do. I did make some extra of this one.
It starts off with one of the new In Colors for 2019-2021 Rococo Rose as the card base 8.5 x 5.5 and then another layer of Rococo Rose 5 3/8 x 4 1/8 and then I added a layer of the In Color DSP 6×6 paper shown on page 168 of the annual catalog. The size added is 5.25 x 4. before attaching to the card base I added a piece of the Rococo Rose 1/2″ scalloped linen ribbon with tear n tape. I then stamped the flower image from the new Forever Blossoms stamp set on page 160 in the new Mini Catalog in Rococo Rose ink on to Whisper White card stock and die cut it out. I took my blender pen and blended out the deeper color on the image, I then took my Seafoam green marker and colored the leaves of the stamped image, and attached with dimensionals. I then stamped the leave and flower image in seafoam green ink on to sea foam green cardstock and rococo rose ink onto rococo rose card stock and die cut them out. I then attached them with dimensionals too. The sentiment is from the Magnolia Bundle, stamped in black ink and die cut using a frame from the Ornate framelits, I then put a little of the Rococo rose ink all around the edge to give it a little dimension, and stamped the flower onto the center. I also attached it with dimensionals.
On the inside I finished off the card, with stamping of the small flower and leaf. and on the front of the envelope I stamped the larger image as shown in the picture. I also added basic pearls to all the flower centers.
This turned out to be a beautiful sympathy card, but you could make it any occasion.
Have a wonderful start to your week!
