Happy Birthday
Good Morning Stampers!
Today’s card had a little twist when I was putting it together. I started out with the card on the right and the fell in love with the results from the card on the left. They both have a white card base of 4.25 x 11 and scored at 5.5 for the fold. I started out with a piece of the Magnolia Lane DSP paper 5.25 x 4. I added a piece of vellum 3.25 x 4.75, which is totally unlike me. I never think of using vellum and why I did today? No clue, but I like the touch. The Mossy Meadow card stock measures 3 x 4.25 and whisper white 2.75 x 4. I die cut the large and small magnolia and colored with my stamping blends, Mossy Meadow and Calypso Coral. When attaching everything, I attached the vellum with adhesive and then the Mossy Meadow with stampin dimensionals. The magnolia was attached with adhesive along with the small magnolia. I added a piece of shear Calypso coral ribbon for the bow. the sentiment was stamped in Calypso coral ink and I added a rhinestone to complete the card.
Now what was the twist, the DSP paper was laying there flipped over on my table to show the Early Espresso side of the same paper. So I decided to make a card featuring it. The only changes were this time I used Dark Petal Pink for the highlighting and added a piece of the 5/8″ organdy striped ribbon for the bow.
You tell me which you prefer, the lighter back ground or the Early Espresso background.
I also wanted to show that I stamped the Magnolia image onto the outside of the envelope and colored accordingly to match each card. I always decorate the outside of my envelopes whether front or back.
If you have not received a new Holiday catalog, send me a message and I will be happy to connect with you and get one out.
Happy Stamping!
