Magnolia Lane

Happy Friday!

The Magnolia Lane Bundle is the set that I am using today combined with some DSP paper from the Garden Lane DSP packet.  I started out with a card base of Mint Macaron 4.25 x 11 and scored at 5.5.  I then used the scalloped edge die to cut the end of the card base.  The layers are Soft Suede 4.25 x 4 3/8th and the Garden Lane DSP 4 2/8 X 4.  I stamped the Magnolia in Soft Suede ink and then took my blender pen to smooth out the soft suede ink on the leaves to give it a vintage look.  I then took my Mint Macaron ink pad and the blended pen and added a little color here and there on the leaves.  Before attaching these layers I wrapped bakers twine around three times and tied a bow and then attached to the card front.  On the inside I added a layer of Soft Suede 5.25 x 4 and stamped the leave image in Soft Suede  ink, I then put a piece of Whisper white 4 x 4 so you would have a place to write your message.  I left this card without a greeting so that I could add it when needed.  I topped it off with some Basic Pearls (retired) in the center of the magnolia flower.  This would make for a nice sympathy card, birthday, anniversary etc.
