May Paper Pumpkin Alternative
Happy Friday Everyone!
This week has flown by for me, how about you? The May Paper Pumpkin kit was adorable. It was designed by Shelli Gardner the co-founder of Stampin up. It also coordinates with the Free as a Bird stamp set in the new catalog on page 92. Which I just love too. My card today starts with an Very Vanilla card base 8.5 x 5.5 and then a layer of Early Espresso that I die cut with the largest of the stitched rectangle dies. If you do not have the dies that just cut your card stock to 3.75 x 5. I then cut the note card in half and cut it down to 3.5 x 4.75. I took my stampin blends markers and colored the leaves with Old Olive and the eggs with Petal Pink. I stamped the bird from the Free as a Bird stamp set in Early Espresso and colored her with Crumb Cake and Petal Pink and then fussy cut it out along with the leaf image from the stamp set. I attached them both with stampin dimensionals and added some of the bakers twine from the kit in some messy loops to make it look like part of the nest. I then added a flower grouping from the kit to finish off the card. I am leaving a sentiment off so that I can use it when needed. On the inside of the card I repeated from the front, adding the Early espresso layer and then the other half of the cut off note card. I really like how this came together.
Well this is it for me this week, have a great weekend and I hope you get to do some stamping.
Sheryl
