Sheltering Tree

Sheltering Tree is the stamp set I am using this morning.  This stamp set is on the retiring list, therefore if you had missed it earlier in the catalog you have until May 25th to order it.  This stamp set is on page 140 in the Annual catalog.

I started off with an Early Espresso Card base, 8.5 x 5.5 and then added a layer of the Wood textures Designer Series Paper 5.25 x 4.  I then used  a piece of the Whisper White 3.25 x 5 for my stamped images.  The tree was stamped in Early Espresso with Flirty Flamingo for the flowers (leaves).  I wanted the look of a blooming crab apple or cherry tree.  The bike is stamped in Poppy parade and Blueberry bushel inks.  The grass was added in with pear pizzazz.  The little swing is in basic black along with the sentiment.  Which is from the Beauty Abounds set.  I added some rhinestones here and there in the leaves just for some sparkle.

For the inside I did a repeat of the front, but I only caught like part of the tree and the bicycle.  I wanted it to look like we were coming away from the scene.  I used the Thinking of you sentiment from the stamp set for the inside.  I didn’t take a picture of the envelope, but on the front of it I stamped the full tree with the Flirty Flamingo leaves too.
