Healing Hugs Birthday card
Happy Friday!
Bring on the weekend! My card today is using the Healing Hugs stamp set on page 110 of the Annual catalog. I started off with a piece of Melon Mango card stock 8.5 x 5.5 and then added a piece of whisper white card stock 5.25 x 4. I inked the rose in Melon Mango ink and then took a sponge dauber and added Pumpkin pie ink on the edges and then stamped on to the card. The leaves are in pear pizzazz ink, and the little sprig is in Early Espresso. Before stamping the twigs I made a copy of the rose on a post it note and covered the rose and then stamped the twigs, giving off the affect of the rose sitting in front of the twigs. I stamped the little star image in the bottom with melon Mango ink too. I then made a messy bow using the linen thread and attached with a glue dot. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Black ink and used my label punch to punch it out and then a sponge dauber and put a little ink around the edges and attached with glue dots.
Just a simple and elegant Birthday card. It took about 10 minutes to put together. I hope you get to get inky this weekend, I’ll be back on Monday.
