Red Velvet Cupcake!

Hello Stampers!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!  We are winding down on the Sale-a-brations catalog.  It ends on Sunday March 31st.  If there was something you were wanting to get yet, you need to place your order soon, as there are a lot of things selling out.

My card today reminds me of Red Velvet cake, so that is what we are going with.  It is using the Hello Cupcake stamp set that is one of the free items in the sale a brations catalog with a $50 purchase.  I started off with a Whisper White card base and added a piece of All My Love Designer series paper from the Occasions catalog, 5.25 x 4.  I then took a 2.5 x 3.75 pieces of whisper white to stamp my cupcake on.  The base of the cupcake is stamped soft suede and the icing in Lovely Lipstick ink.  I added a few flowers and some rhinestone embellishments along with the Happy Birthday sentiment in Black ink and there you have it.   Now here is the part where I really stepped out of the box for me.  I have never added a ribbon at the top of the card, and the only reason I did was because when the card was finished it just looked lonely.  Like it needed a little uplifting, so I took a piece of the Lovely Lipstick ribbon form the All my Love ribbon combo pack and made the bow.  Viola!!  The DSP paper and ribbon you can find on page 5 of the Occasion catalog and the Hello cupcake is from the sale a brations catalog.
