By the Bay

Todays card is using the By the Bay stamp set from sale-a-bratoins, it is a stamp set you earn free with a $50 purchase. When I got this set, I wasnt sure how I would use it at first. But after stamping it, it just puts me in mind of a vacation place along the coast. Wouldnt it be great to wake up in the morning and hear the waves hitting the shoreline and hearing the horns of the ship vessels off in the distance? I am not a big water person but a little get away like that I could do.

My card base is Whsiper white 8.5 x 5.5 with a layer of Bashful Blue that I die cut with the stitched rectangle framelit, and then another piece of whsiper white die cut with the stitched rectangle framelit. I then stamped my image in Black memento ink and got out my colored pencils and blender pens. The ocean I colored with Balmy Blue pencil, Basic grey for the wall along the shoreline. Early Espresso for the drive up to the cottage, Real red for the cottages and basic black for the roof tops, I used Old Olive for the greenery. After I colored each area I then took my blender pen to soften out the color. The birds are from the High Tide stamp set, I inked the small ones on the stamp and added to my scene. So this is my take on a coastal getaway – whats your opinion. I would love to hear.

Have an amazing day and Thank-you for dropping by.
