Sweets for you
Happy Monday!
How was your weekend? Mine was busy, and the grandsons spent the night Saturday night. We played hide and seek in the house, built legos, and made choc. chip cookies! It was great. So with making of the cookies came the idea for a sweet card for today!
This card today is a 4 x 4 size card, one that I have not done before. I started out with a piece of Granny apple green card stock 4 x 8 and scored at 4″. I then added a piece of the How sweet it is DSP paper 3.75 x 3..75. Don’t you just love this paper!!! After that the fun really begins, what candy to stamp and what ones to die cut. My card stock is Pineapple Punch, Coastal Cabana, and Gorgeous Grape. I just die cut several of the pieces of candy. The jars are stamped in Black Memento ink onto whisper white cardstock and then die cut. I stamped the candies in side in the Black Memento ink too.
I then used Pineapple punch, Coastal Cabana, Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green Stampin blend markers to color the candies and various places on the candy jars. The candy jars are so fun, you can add little color or a lot of color to dress them up. I die cut a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock with a scalloped die cut and took the stamp from the stamp set to stamp the frame for the sentiment in Granny Apple Green and then die cut it. I attached the two together and then added stampin dimensionals to attach to the card. I then just randomly attached the candies with glue dots. I made a bow from the Organdy Ribbon Combo and attached with a glue dot. (sorry this ribbon is unavailable now) This is such a cute card, so colorful and bright. I hope its one you will try to do.
When mailing this card, make sure to mail in normal 5 3/4 x 4 3/8″ envelopes, otherwise you will be adding extra postage if you make a 4 x4 envelope.
If you are in need of any supplies please feel free to shop my online store or leave me a email and I will be glad to place the order for you.
Enjoy your day!
