Flowing Fountain

IMG_5084Hello Stampers!

How was your weekend?  Mine was busy, running errands, cleaning house, etc.  but I did get to do some stamping.  One of my customers asked me about this set, so I played with it all weekend.  My card base is Balmy Blue 8.5 x 5.5 with another layer of Balmy Blue 5.25 x 4 that I ran through the Subtles embossing folder.  I then added a piece of Whisper white 3 x 5.  I stamped the water well in Black memento ink and the colored with the stampin blends markers.  I used all Light markers, Smokey slate, Old Olive and Calypso Coral.  I stamped the little birds in Soft Suede and then used L Crumb Cake and L Pumpkin Pie to color them.  The picture doesnt quite show it but on the water that is dripping down I went over it with L. Balmy Blue marker too, and that is the water color also.  The sentiment is stamped in Black memento ink and I added a piece of Old Oliver 1/8″ sheer ribbon for the bow.  I finished it off with a silver metallic enamel shape.

Now I have a question for you, Do you finish off the inside of your cards and do you stamp on your envelopes?  I did not realize how many do not do anything with either.  I  always stamp something on the inside and same with my envelope.  I feel that I then have a finished card ready to  mail.   Because this is a sympathy card, I just stamped the 2 bird images, to leave me plenty of room to write my message.  I then randomly stamped the birds onto the envelope and colored them in too.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think and if you stamp on the inside of your cards.

Thank-you for stopping by!
