Wishing You Well

IMG_4676Happy Friday Everyone!

Little dreary and cold, I hope we get to have some Indian Summer yet.  Do you have big plans for the weekend? Boy I sure do, my youngest daughter is getting married this weekend!  She has had a very busy summer, she graduated from Law School in May, took the Bar in July,  started a new job in September, and now a wedding in October!  Whew!!! What a ride!  I will be ready for a little slower pace after this.

My card today is using the new Wishing You Well  stamp set from the Holiday catalog.   I am using the baby wipe technique for this card.  Simply take a baby wipe fold into quarters and then add droplets of ink re-filler randomly around on the baby wipe.  For this card I used Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, and Blackberry Bliss.  After adding the droplets, let the baby wipe sit for a few minutes so that color sits in and then use it just like a stamp pad, make sure not to tap your stamp  on the baby wipe, you want to just press down and let it soak up the color.  Then stamp on to the cardstock.  The baby wipe will hold the color for a little while, so you will be able to stamp several pieces before the color runs out.  After I stamped the little bush I added the bow with cajun craze ink.  The sentiment is stamped in basic black ink and I added the little heart from the Frames Elements.  The Crushed Curry cardstock is embossed  with the Basket Weave embossing folder.  The color combinations for this stamp set, and the baby wipe technique are endless!  I hope you will give it a try, practice some on scrap paper until you get the feel of it and then you’ll be ready to make your self some beautiful cards.

Well this is it for me this week, have a wonderful weekend and I’ll be back on Monday.

Sheryl
