July Birthdays

Hello Stampers!

Did you get through this weekend with staying cool!  Very hot! The month of July is a busy birthday month, 19 birthdays in fact!  That is almost one per day!  Of the 19, 13 are family and the others are friends.   So you will be seeing lots of birthday card this month.  I’m starting the month off by using the Tea Room Specialty DSP paper, it has very soft colors.   My card base is using the returning Coastal Cabana card stock. 8.5 x 5.5 with a layer of Crushed Curry and then a layer of the Tea Room Specialty paper.  I then added another layer of Coastal Cabana Crushed Curry and Tea Room  Specialty paper.  (measurements all at bottom of post)  On the Very vanilla piece is where I used the Varied Vases stamp set found on page 45 in the new annual catalog.  I stamped the flowers in Crushed Curry and the vase in Coastal Cabana, the leaves are in Old Olive.  The sentiment I stamped in Crushed Curry onto very vanilla cardstock and then punched it out using the new label punch.  I then took my scissors and cut a straight edge on one end, and attached it to a piece of Coastal Cabana and used my scissors to trim the edge to match my very vanilla edge.  The bow was made with linen thread, I just wrapped it around 2 fingers 3 times and then continued to wrap around 3 fingers 3 times and slowly slid it off my fingers, gave it a twist and tied the center together.  I attache it with a glue dot and added a small heart from the hearts embellishment kit.  I love the summery colors, and that is it for the first July Birthday card.

Have a great day!

Sheryl
