Happy Happy Friday!

I don’t know about you but I am glad its Friday and I hope to get to do some stampin this weekend.  I need the therapy!!!  My card today is for my best friends mom who turned 80 years young.  The family is having a little get together for her and her colors are red and gold.  My card base is whisper white 8.5 x 5.5, with a layer of red foil 5.25 x 4 and then a layer of whisper white 3.75 x 5.  I used the new embossing folder Petal Pair Textured Impressions embossing folder on page 25 of the new Occasions catalog.  I only put the cardstock in the folder 3/4’s of the way.    I then die cut the numbers in gold foil paper, next I used the new stamp set Cake Soiree and the framelits from page 12 in the Occasions catalog.  You will love this set, I embossed the cake with the gold embossing powder and the used my stamping blends to color the cake, using Old Olive and Real Red.  The cake base is die cut from gold foil paper.  I embossed the sentiment in gold embossing powder too.  Such a classy card for a classy lady.

If you have not looked at this stamp set bundle, its really one you might want to look at again.  I know sometimes we go thru the catalog and see things but really do not pay attention.   This was one of those sets for me, but now that I have used it, I love it.   I am thinking this will make a great Bridal shower announcement for my daughter’s shower this summer.
