Bird Banter Birthday card

Happy Snow Day!

Dont you just wish you were able to get those snow days like the school kids do?  If you are lucky enough to be home today maybe you will get to do some stampin.  My card today is using the new Tutti-Frutti Cards and Envelopes that are shown on page 14 of the sale-a-bration catalog.  This cute little set comes free to you after you have placed a $50.00 order from the annual or occasions catalog.  I am also using the Bird Banter stamp set.  I die cut a large circle in Whisper white and then stamped the branch in Old Olive and added the bird in Black memento ink and colored with the new stampin blends markers – Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Basic Black and Old olive for the leaves.  I then added and larger circle in Lemon Lime twist cardstock.

I trimmed a 1″ strip off a piece of the Picture Perfect Party DSP paper and added it to the top of the card, and then a piece of Lemon Lime Twist ribbon, with a bow at the bottom.  I also added some glimmer dots just for some dimension.  I dressed up the envelope by adding my Toucan and coloring him in also.

Stampin up is offering the Fast Fuse adhesive on sale from Feb. 8 thru 12th.  You purchase the fast fuse tape runner and receive 2 refills for free.   This is a great savings, I know not everyone is sold on the fast fuse, it seems you either love it or leave it.  One thing I have found with using it, is that you do not want to put a lot of pressure on it.  It seems to just glide then, and remember to do the little check off at the end and you are ready to go again.
