Happy 16th

Happy 16th birthday to my nephew and Happy Friday!!

My nephew turned 16 and I wanted a card for  him, but somehow saying “Sweet 16” just didnt sound right for a boy.  So when I saw this stamp set in the sale-a-brations catalog he came to mind, as he plays guitar, and of course what teenage doesnt have a head set, right?!.  So about the card, the card base is whisper white, 8.5 x 5.5, with a layer of Basic Black, 5.25 x 4 and then a layer of sahara sand 5 x 3.75 and embossed.  I then stamped the sentiment and head set in Basic Black ink and used the stitched framelits, scallop circle framelits, and circle framelits to die cut the whisper white pieces and basic black pieces to coordinate in size.   The numbers are die cut using the number framelits in Basic Black.  On the large whisper white circle I stamped with the spots from the stamp set in basic gray, to make a background.  The guitar is stamped in basic black onto basic gray cardstock and I fussycut it out.  The stars are from various star punches in basic gray and basic black cardstock.  This card is so cool! Im overly thrilled how this turned out, and hopefully my nephew thought it was cool too!

This wraps it up for me, I  hope you have a great weekend and are able to do some stamping.

See you Monday!

Sheryl
