Happy New Year!
I hope you were able to bring in the new year with a bang! did you make new years resolutions? I am not one for making resolutions, because usually by January 2nd, they are broken! So instead I just try to set some goals, whether they are accomplished leaves a lot to be said. This year my plan is to have every closet in the house cleaned out by the end of January. then the month of February I would like to have my basement reorganized. Thats the kinda thing I set myself up for, not saying that it always gets done but at least there is an attempt to plan for it.
Now about todays card, this is my thank-you card that I made for those Christmas gifts that you get unexpectedly and didnt plan on receiving. My card base is Fresh Fig 8.5 x 5, with a layer of Basic Gray 5.25 x 4, I then put it on my scoring board and scored it every 1/16th of an inch for 5 times, this is the first time I just scored a card like this and then went from there. I like the look, it added a little sophistication to the card. I then used the Season Like Christmas stamp set and stamped my tree first in Smokey Slate, then Basic Gray on top, and the tree trunk in Basic Black, and the snow in Basic Gray. I then used the 2nd to largest oval to die cut it along with the largest oval in Basic Gray. The sentiment is from the One Big Meaning stamp set, stamped in Basic Black ink and punched out with the Classic Label punch. I then took my bone folder and curved the sentiment and attached it on the ends with a glue dots. Added some rhinestones and there you are a nice Thank-you card!
