Unicorn

Hello Stampers!
I hope everyone had a great weekend, and that you got to participate in Trick or Treating in someway! My daughter recently got married and with that she has a gained a niece, Kadence is her name and her birthday is coming up and she is into Unicorns! So I was asked to come up with a Unicorn birthday card. Thank-goodness for Pinterest! I went online and was able to find this card done by Monica Gale of the UK, so I went to work to changed it up to make it my own. My card base is Sweet Sugarplum 8.5 x 5.5 with a layer whisper white 5.5 x 4. I then took a sponge dauber and the Powder Pink ink and made the cheeks. I then drew on the eye lashes with a black magic marker. I added gold stars from the Night of Bethleham stamp set. I then used a piece of the glitter paper from last spring in the Sweet Sugarplum I just drew a triangle on the back and hand cut it. Then I used the leaf framelits from the Swirly Scribbles thinlets to make the ears. The flowers are framelits from Flourish Thinlets and Seasonal layers thinlets. I used Powder Pink, Bermuda Bay and Elegant Eggplant cardstock. I then took my hole punch to make the centers of the flowers from the glitter paper. I added a .5 x 5.25 strip of glitter paper on the side, along with various ribbons in the bermuda bay, powder pink, and elegant eggplant and some gold sequin trim. I then topped it off with a bow made with bakers twine.
On the inside I stamped the gold stars over the entire card and then die cut the Happy Birthday out in the glitter paper. This turned out as a pretty flashy card and I hope Kadence likes it.
Thanks for stopping by.
Sheryl
