Embossing Paste – OH MY!!!
Todays card is using the new embossing paste and what fun it is. I kept putting the container off to the side, thinking this is going to be a chore, a mess, and just something that maybe I really dont want to get into. But! its not, it is fun and I’ve got ideas coming for my next adventure with it. A Couple tips, you will need to have some type of container nearby with water in it so that you can put the mask in as soon as you are finished cause the paste wants to dry quickly and you will be scrubbing on the mask, another thing a little bit goes a long way. So do not feel that you need a lot of paste on your palette knives. So my card base is whisper white 8.5 x 5.5, with a layer of Bermuda bay, 5.25 x 4. I then took the mask that looks like a brick wall and layed it on the bermuda bay and just added the embossing paste. That simple! It only takes a few minutes to dry and you are ready to go on with your card. In the time it took me to stamp and punch out the daisies it was dry. My daisies are crushed curry cardstock, stamped with crushed curry ink and then punched out. I added clear faceted gems to each and popped them up with stampin dimensionals. I then added a bow with the new Bermuda Bay 3/8″ mini chevron ribbon, this ribbon is so easy to use and you’ll love the texture. My sentiment is from Jar of Love stamp set, stamped in Bermuda Bay onto whisper white cardstock. I used the small oval punch to punch it out and added stampin dimensionals, and away we go. Give the Embossing paste a try and let me know what you think, its not as scary as I thought!
