Birthday Memories DSP Paper

Hi fellow stampers!

I hope you had a great weekend and were able to get some stampin in. Before I get to todays card, I want to announce the Blog candy winner, and it is Pam Reed!!! Thank-you to everyone that left me a comment and stay tuned to July’s giveaway. Now for my card today, it is using the Birthday Memories Designer series paper from page 189 in the new catalog! This is for my niece that is turning 10 at the end of the week. I did another fold card, this one is called the Joy Fold Card. So easy to put together, its just layers and layers! The card base is 4.25 x 8.5″ of Pumpkin Pie cardstock scored at 5 1/2″, with a layer of Old Olive 5 3/8 x 4 1/8″ as a mat base, then I added a piece of Birthday Memories DSP Paper 5.25 x 4″ Then on the front of the cardbase I added a piece of Old Olive 2 7/8 x 4 1/8″ and then another layer of the DSP, 2 3/4 x 4″

You will then need a piece of 3 x 8″ cardstock, I used Pacific Point and score at 4″ then I added a piece of Whisper White 2 3/4 x 4″ and stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Real Red ink, and then another piece of the DSP paper 2 3/4 x 4″ for on the front of this folded piece.
Now when you go to attach this folded piece to your card base you will want the folded sided attached to the right side of the card. I then die cut a large scalloped oval in Real Red cardstock and then the layering stitched oval in the DSP. Now when I attached it I used stampin dimensionals and only put them on the left side of the scalloped oval and positioned it to use as my card closure. On the small flap of the front card base I added some balloons that I punched out with the balloon punch, in Real Red, pumpkin pie and Pacific point cardstock. I ran the 2 larger ones thru the bigshot with some various embossing folders. I used stampin dimensionals when attaching these and added a glitter bow from the Balloon Adventures framelits. Yes it is a lot of cutting for your pieces and parts but isn’t just adorable for a little girl’s birthday? So dig out some of that DSP paper and starting piecing together your patterns and see what you come up with, I’m sure you’ll like your end results!
Happy Stampin!
Sheryl
