50th Anniversary

Good Morning Stampers!
How was your weekend, I hope you got to do some stamping! My card today is for a couple that are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary. That is a monumental accomplishment now a days!
My card base is Sweet Sugarplum 8.5 x 5.5 with a layer of gold foil paper 5.25 x 4 and the a layer of whisper white 3.75 x 5″. The stamp set that I used is the new Colorful Seasons, I stamped the branches in Early Espresso ink. When you look at this stamp set you will see that there is a long branch and then a short one. I first stamped 3 of the long branches randomly and then added 3 of the short branches to make a fuller look scenery. The flowers are stamped in Sweet sugarplum ink. The sentiment is from the Number of years stamp set and the numbers are die cut from Large Numbers framelit dies in gold foil paper.
On the inside of the card I added a layer of gold foil 5.25 x 4 and then the whisper white 3.75 x 5. I used the smaller of the branches to stamp the branch and then I added the flowers. I loved the way this card turned out. Just a little tip, when doing the smaller of the branches, practice with it, and you will notice there is a gap in the branch, that is where the smaller flower sits when you go to line up the flowers. Once you practice a little you will see the line up. Let me know what you think of this card.

Dont forget today is the last day to leave me a comment on your favorite post from last month to be eligible for the blog candy giveaway. The winner will receive this card, ribbon and the sampler packet of the new Wood Textiles DSP paper.
I hope you have a great start to your week!
Sheryl
