Hey Chick!

Hi Stampers!
I hope today’s card gives you a chuckle! My daughter is a second year law year student and right now she is studying for her finals. This is a process that takes 3 weeks of studying non stop, she lives at the law library every waking hour and then the tests are anywhere from 2-4 hours long. I cant even imagine trying to absorb all of that and then to write all those essay questions answers. Its quite a stressful time not only for her but for us, as we cant help her other than to send care packages. So this time her care package consisted of gift cards for starbucks, and meals. Because during this time there is little else done in regards to cooking, cleaning or laundry! I wanted to make her a card that would lighten the mood for her a little,
and this did. When she got her card she called right away and of course asked “What is up with this chick”? She loved her hairdo!, said it was just perfect to make her laugh. Mission accomplished along with the fact that she gets free food!. Everything I used today for this card is retired and apologize for that, but maybe you will find something in your stash that will help you make some what of a liken to this card. My cardbase if 8.5 x 5.5′ Basic Black, with a layer of Going Wild DSP 5.25 x 4. I then die cut a large circle out of the Basic black cardstock and the next smaller in whisper white. I stamped my chick in Black Memento ink and set out coloring her with the watercolor pencils, I used my blender pen to soften the colors.
I added some of the Basic Black thin twine before attaching the circles. The hey chick was stamped in Basic Black and punched with the small oval punch, and then I just kinda rubbed the sides on the ink pad to sorta give the same look as the DSP paper. I added a wooden heart with a glue dot, and there you go! Now we wait 6 weeks for the test results! ugh!
