A Serene card using High Tide

Today I needed a sympathy card and the lighthouse came to mind. My card base is Tip top Taupe 11 x 4.25″ scored at 5.5″. The next layer is Soft Suede 5.25 x 4″ and then the Whisper White layer is 3.75 x 5″. I made a mask of the lighthouse, to do this you want to stamp it on a post it note and the fussy cut it out. I then took Basic Grey ink and stamped the more solid image of the light house and then with the Basic Black ink I took the more detailed image of the lighthouse and stamped over top. I then took the sand stamp image and stamped in Tip top Taupe ink and stamped around the light house and inked it a few more times turning the stamp upside down this time and filled in my shore line. I then took the grasses and stamped them in Soft Suede and Old Olive. I then placed my mask on top of the light house and then stamped in soft sky ink the water. The birds I only inked the last 3 birds on the stamp in Tip Top Taupe and stamped them in the air. I just love how this turned out, it just makes you wish you were there. Dont forget to stamp the inside too, for it I continued with the sandy beach and added the grasses, along the bottom that way it left room for my message.
