Balloon Adventures Shaker card

Hello Stampers,

Todays card is a shaker card, I used the Balloon Adventures stamp set and thinlets to make this card. My card base is Basic Black 8.5 x 5.5″, I then cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock 3.5 x 5.25″ and die cut it with the balloons from the thinlet, you want to place the thinlet on the paper evenly so you get an even cut. I then took the balloon stamps and inked them with Emerald Envy and stamped them onto the Emerald Envy cardstock. I know the glimmer paper is no longer available but I really wanted to use it on this card to make the card standout. If you do not have the glimmer paper, you could use the balloon punch or one of the thinlet balloons in this stamp set and die cut a balloon in the sweet sugarplum and use whink of stellar and completely cover the balloon and that will give it some pizzazz. I placed my 2 green balloons before the glimmer one, so that it sat on top of the green ones. I also die cut the bow from the glimmer paper, and here again you could cut it out of sweet sugarplum cardstock and use the whink of stellar to add the glimmer. I stamped the banner in Emerald Envy and the sentiment in Basic Black. Now that you have this part all put together, we will start to assembly the shaker card, You will need to cut your window sheet at 3.25 x 5.25. Place adhesive all around the outside of the very vanilla and then adhere the window sheet, you want to make sure that none of the adhesive shows to the front. I then cut a piece of Playful Palette designer series paper 3.25 x 5.25″. You will take the foam adhesive strips and place all around the outer edge of the window sheet, and then add your sequins in the tray that you have just built, you do not want to overload it though as the sequins will not be able to move around. Once you have that complete, then put your piece of DSP on top and go all around the outside edges so that it seals up good and not let your sequins out. Once you have that done then you can center it on top on the Basic black cardstock.

On the inside of the card I took a piece of the DSP .5 x 5.5 and placed it on the side of the card, and then stamped the confetti in Emerald Envy ink and added the sentiment in Basic Black ink. You could easily change this card to any colors and designer series paper that you have on hand. It is easy to come together and I think you will like the end result. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Thanks for stopping by,
Sheryl
