High Tide

High Tide is a stamp set from the new Occasions catalog, it is neat set to make those masculine cards that we need to make and sometimes avoid making because we do not know where to start. My card has a Pacific Point cardstock base 8.5 x 5.5, with a layer of whisper white 5.25 x 4. I then used Daffodil delight to stamp my moon. In the stamp set you will see 2 different ways to make your sand or grass mound. One stamp has a little nook hollowed out which is where that lighthouse just sits in perfectly. You can also take this stamp and turn it upside down to fill in where needed to make your mound. The little stamp I used to make my sand mound on the left side of the card with Crumb Cake ink. The Green grass is made with Garden Green ink, and some tall grasses were added with Early Espresso ink. Before adding my water in the pacific point ink I took a post it note and placed it so that I didnt have too much water on the sand bank or the grass bank. I also stamped the lighthouse on one and and masked it so that I could give the illusion of water all around the lighthouse. The birds are stamped in Basic black. My lighthouse has a little lean to it, I noticed after I was almost done, but you know sometimes the bank is washing out so those lighthouses do tend to lean. LOL. This is fun set that can be used to make a lot of those masculine birthday cards, or even a sympathy or thinking you. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Have a wonderful day.
