Gather Together

Gather Together is the stamp set and the Gathered Leaves die is the set we worked with last night at card class. I love how this card turned out and Thanks to my niece Annabel we changed it up some. The card on the left was the one we started to make in class and then Annabel flipped over her DSP and we were like WOW what a change in the look. Sometimes I forget to look at the other side.

My cardbase is Mossy Meadow 8.5 x 5.5 with a piece of Very Vanilla 5.25 x 4. On the piece of Very Vanilla we took the stamp with the dots and randomly stamped in Mossy Meadow ink. Then I die cut a Mossy Meadow square and a scalloped square of the same size. The DSP paper is from the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP Paper and die cut with the size smaller in the scallop die. I then die cut a piece of Very Vanilla with the stitched square. Attached the pieces all together and then attached the one with the DSP directly to the Very Vanilla layer and the combo of the Very Vanilla was attached with stampin dimensionals. I then stamped the large leave in Merry Merlot ink onto Merry Merlot cardstock and die cut. The Mossy Meadow leaf is die cut with the Oak leaf frame lit that embosses it and die cuts it. The Pumpkin Pie leaf is stamped in Pumpkin Pie ink and die cut. This stamp and framelit is from the Colorful seasons stamp set. The Crush curry leaf, I took the framelit and put it on the Crush curry ink pad and then on to crush curry cardstock and then die cut it. The 2 small leaves were die cut in Merry Merlot and Pumpkin Pie cardstock and die cut from the framelit of the Colorful Seasons set. I then just arranged them to make a collage and attached them to the front. The bird is from the Free as a bird stamp set. I stamped it onto Very Vanilla cardstock. You will notice the card on the left the bird is stamped in Soft Suede ink and then colored with the stampin blends, Dark Crumb Cake and Light Crumb Cake, and beak in Pumpkin Pie. The bird on the right is stamped in Black Memento ink onto the Very Vanilla card stock, and colored with the Blends. I think I like the bird stamped in the Black Memento ink better, hes more distinct. I attached him with stampin dimensionals and added a messy type of bow made from Linen thread. I finished off the front of the card with some of the Holiday rhinestone basic jewels. I love the colors in this pack and how they sparkle.

On the inside of the card I added a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock 5.25 x 4 and stamped a little collage of the leaves in the corner along with the envelope. I didnt add a sentiment as I just plan to write in for whatever the use may be.

Let me know which of the cards is your favorite, the greenery or the burlap look.

Have a great day!

Sheryl
